Mariette Mulaire is presently working as Managing Director for the World Trade Centers Association, headquartered in New York City. She has served for 10 years as President and CEO of the World Trade Centre Winnipeg that was launched in 2012. Prior to that, she was the President and CEO of Manitoba’s Bilingual Trade Agency (ANIM) since its inception in 2007, where her involvement in investment attraction and numerous economic development initiatives on behalf of Manitoba included spearheading the creation and hosting of Centrallia, the first international B2B forum of its kind in Western Canada. Her previous economic development experience includes ten years as Executive Director for the Economic Development Council for Manitoba Bilingual Municipalities (CDEM), and 11 years working with the federal government ministry of Western Economic Diversification Canada (WD) and Secretary of State Department.
In addition to having served as Vice-Chair of the World Trade Centers Association (WTCA) Board of Directors until 2022, Mariette Mulaire actively participates in national associations and initiatives which include Boards of Directors of the Bank of Canada, TV5, the international TV network, and as a mentor for the Pierre Elliott Foundation. She has volunteered as a board member for over 30 different organizations throughout her professional life, more notably chairing the Summer Canada Games in 2017 and being spokesperson for a variety of causes regionally and nationally. Her many awards testify to her leadership capacities and innovative approaches in community and economic spheres. The Winnipeg Chamber of Commerce most recently presented her with the 2022 Distinguished Long Service Award.
Mariette Mulaire holds a national designation with the Canadian Institute of Management (CIM) as a Professional Manager in management and administration and earned the Certified International Trade Professional (CITP) designation from the Forum for International Trade Training (FITT).
