COVID-19 SAFETY INFORMATION:

We’re committed to the safety and well-being of all our in-person 2023 WTCA General Assembly registrants. As such, we continue to closely monitor the evolution of the pandemic and the availability of vaccinations globally.  Responding effectively to the risks of Covid-19 is a shared responsibility and the WTCA asks all attendees to play their part in ensuring the event remains as safe as is reasonably practicable. In this respect, the WTCA asks all individuals to refrain from attending if they:

  • Are showing Covid-19 symptoms, including but not limited to, fever or a feeling of fever (chills, hot-cold), cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, unusual fatigue, sore throat or headache, loss or change in smell or taste; or
  • Have tested positive for Covid-19 in the last 7 days.

In addition, you are encouraged to monitor travel advisories, restrictions, and quarantine measures offered by your own country and the country/ies you plan to visit. Follow all airline requirements, as well as any requirements at your destination, including mask wearing, proof of vaccination, testing, or quarantine.  For more information, visit these websites:

All in-person attendees will be expected to comply with the Health policies of the host country and venue destination(s).  

 

DUTY TO SELF MONITOR

Participants and volunteers agree to self-monitor for signs and symptoms of COVID-19 and, contact WTCA if he/she experiences symptoms of COVID-19 within 14 days after participating or volunteering at the 2023 WTCA General Assembly.   I agree that if I experience any of these or any other symptoms during the 2023 WTCA General Assembly, I will discontinue my participation immediately and seek appropriate medical attention. 

 

RELEASE AND WAIVER

I HEREBY RELEASE, WAIVE AND FOREVER DISCHARGE ANY AND ALL LIABILITY, CLAIMS, AND DEMANDS OF WHATEVER KIND OR NATURE AGAINST THE WORLD TRADE CENTERS ASSOCIATION AND ITS AFFILIATED PARTNERS AND SPONSORS, INCLUDING IN EACH CASE, WITHOUT LIMITATION, THEIR DIRECTORS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, VOLUNTEERS, AND AGENTS (THE “RELEASED PARTIES”), EITHER IN LAW OR IN EQUITY, TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMISSIBLE BY LAW, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO DAMAGES OR LOSSES CAUSED BY THE NEGLIGENCE, FAULT OR CONDUCT OF ANY KIND ON THE PART OF THE RELEASED PARTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO DEATH, BODILY INJURY, ILLNESS, ECONOMIC LOSS OR OUT OF POCKET EXPENSES, OR LOSS OR DAMAGE TO PROPERTY, WHICH I, MY HEIRS, ASSIGNEES, NEXT OF KIN AND/OR LEGALLY APPOINTED OR DESIGNATED REPRESENTATIVES, MAY HAVE OR WHICH MAY HEREINAFTER ACCRUE ON MY BEHALF, WHICH ARISE OR MAY HEREAFTER ARISE FROM MY PARTICIPATION WITH THE ACTIVITY. 

 

ASSUMPTION OF THE RISK

I acknowledge and understand the following:

  1. Attendance at the 2023 WTCA General Assembly includes possible exposure to and illness from infectious diseases including but not limited to COVID-19. While particular rules and personal discipline may reduce this risk, the risk of serious illness and death does exist;
  2. I knowingly and freely assume all such risks related to illness and infectious diseases, such as COVID-19, even if arising from the negligence or fault of the Released Parties; and 
  3. I hereby knowingly assume the risk of injury, harm and loss associated with attendance at the 2023 WTCA General Assembly, including any injury, harm and loss caused by the negligence, fault or conduct of any kind on the part of the Released Parties.

 

DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES, LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

We give no warranties regarding any aspect of this 2023 WTCA General Assembly, or any materials related to it or offered at this event and disclaim any and all implied warranties, including but not limited to, warranties of fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, timeliness, and merchantability. The General Assembly is provided on an “as-is” basis.

The speakers, registrants, or sponsors’ views, opinions, and positions at the 2023 WTCA General Assembly are theirs alone. They do not necessarily reflect the views or opinions of the WTCA or its Members.

While the speaker makes every effort to present accurate and reliable information, WTCA does not endorse, approve, or certify such information, nor does it guarantee the accuracy, completeness, efficacy, timeliness, or correct sequencing of such information. The maximum aggregate liability of WTCA for any claim in any way connected with, or arising from, the 2023 WTCA General Assembly whether in contract, tort, or otherwise (including any negligent act or omission), shall be limited to the amount paid by you to us for the Forum.

 

BY ATTENDING AND/OR PARTICIPATING IN THE 2023 WTCA GENERAL ASSEMBLY, YOU ARE DEEMED TO HAVE GIVEN A FULL RELEASE OF LIABILITY TO THE RELEASED PARTIES TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
