Mr. Emeka Uzomba is Director, Banking and Special Initiatives in the Office of the President, Afreximbank. He also doubles as the Director of the AfCFTA Adjustment Fund Office, having previously served as the Senior Advisor, Banking and Finance to the Secretary General of the AfCFTA Secretariat. His deep involvement with the AfCFTA Secretariat reflects the strategic collaboration between Afreximbank and the AfCFTA Secretariat towards ensuring successful implementation of the AfCFTA. He has been involved in the Bank’s trade facilitation and investment promotion programmes aimed at eliminating bottlenecks to trade, mobilization of capital required to create productive capacity and improve competitiveness of African products and services towards improving the level of intra-African trade.

Prior to joining Afreximbank, he held various senior positions in the commercial banking sector spanning treasury, financial institutions, risk management and business development amongst others.

Mr. Uzomba holds an MBA and is an alumnus of the Lagos and London Business Schools.
