With over 35 years of professional experience, Ali is a senior sustainability consultant and owner of AHC Consulting, specializing in sustainable development strategies and corporate governance. He has served as an international expert for leading organizations, including UNDP, UNIDO, UNEP, AfDB, UNECA, the World Bank/IFC, ISO, GIZ, and MEDWAVES EU programs. A former permanent expert for the EU Support Program (EDPME), he has co-authored the Algerian Corporate Governance Code and played a founding role in both HAWKAMA El Djazair, Algeria’s national association for the promotion of corporate governance, and the ARSEDD Foundation for Sustainability and CSR.

As a member of the CARE think tank and several international associations—such as ISSP, Africa Circular, and ACGN—he has authored influential policy papers and strategic studies on the green economy, green finance, circular economy, and sustainable value chains in North Africa. His consulting expertise spans ESG assessments, sustainability strategies, linking governance to core sustainability issues, developing standard frameworks, and guiding policy on sustainability and economic development.

Married with two children and two grandsons, he continues to advance global dialogue and practice in sustainability and corporate governance at both national and international levels.
