Advancing Global Collaboration: The Savannah-Accra Partnership
A strategic agreement was signed between the cities of Savannah and Accra, aimed at enhancing cooperation in areas such as culture, urban planning, environmental justice, trade, and investment. This collaboration, part of the Greater Savannah Ghana Alliance initiative, reflects both cities' commitment to a sustainable, inclusive future. The alliance emerged following WTC Savannah’s identification of Ghana as a key market for international business growth and their participation at the WTCA Global Business Forum (GBF) in Accra in April 2023. The Greater Savannah Ghana Alliance aims to promote effective communication and forge meaningful relationships, serving as a model for international city partnerships. This effort is highlighted as a prime example of how the WTCA network and the WTCA GBF play a role in advancing connections and achieving shared objectives between cities around the world.
