CONNECTED TO GLOBAL MARKETS

Vietnam’s growth is closely connected to international trade. In 2024, the United States was Vietnam’s largest export market, while China was its largest import market, highlighting the country’s position within major global trade flows.

Vietnam's extensive network of trade agreements further connects businesses operating in the country with markets across Asia, Europe and beyond.²

With a competitive and growing workforce, strong economic momentum and continued investment in infrastructure, Vietnam is attracting global companies looking to expand production, strengthen supply chains and reach new markets.

In Fact, 72 Vietnamese companies represented on the 2026 Fortune Southeast Asia 500 generated approximately $178 billion in revenue in 2025, an increase of 10.5% from the previous year. Vietnamese companies represent less than 10% of the ranking’s total revenue base, yet contributed roughly one-quarter of its overall revenue growth.¹

Vietnam has become an increasingly important part of global supply chains. International companies including Samsung, Apple and Nintendo have invested billions of dollars in Vietnamese manufacturing, producing electronics and consumer products for markets around the world.²

Foreign direct investment also plays a significant role in Vietnam’s export economy, with approximately 80% of the country’s exports associated with foreign-invested companies.¹

Investing in What Comes Next

Vietnam’s rapid economic expansion is creating significant demand for the infrastructure needed to support its next stage of growth.

Fortune reports that outside analyses estimate Vietnam will require approximately $160 billion in infrastructure investment by 2030. The country is already advancing major projects, including a $67 billion high-speed railway connecting Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City and plans for approximately $25 billion in airport investment by 2030.¹

For global businesses and investors, this transformation presents opportunities across infrastructure, transportation, logistics, manufacturing, technology and other rapidly developing sectors.
