Petar Dilov, Minister of Economy of the Republic of Bulgaria

Mr. Peter Dilov is an economist who graduated University of National and World Economy as he obtained his Master in European Business and Finance degree from Nottingham Trent University in the UK. His career development also comprises various training programs at international banking institutions and institutes.

Minister Dilov has long-standing experience at the Bulgarian National Bank. He was the leading expert, representing the National Bank, who was responsible for the cooperation with European Central Bank regarding Bulgarian accession in the Single Supervisory Mechanism and the entry into the European Exchange Rate Mechanism II. He was involved in the transposition of EU legislative framework into national legislation in relation to regulation of credit institutions and the assessment of regulatory impact on the banking system. He was also involved in all Asset quality reviews of national banking system.

Minister Dilov participated in the Working Party on Financial Services and Banking Union at the Council of the European Union, associated with the negotiations of European legislation for risk reduction in the banking sector.

He also represented Bulgarian National Bank in working groups of the European Central Bank and the European Banking Authority.

As Commissioner for Startups, Research and Innovation, Ekaterina Zaharieva’s task is to drive the EU’s ambition to put research and innovation, science and technology at the centre of our economy. She will foster investment and cooperation, creating the right conditions for researchers to thrive and develop new skills, and the innovation needed for the EU’s competitiveness, security and sustainability goals.
She is responsible for:
• Expanding the European Innovation Council and the European Research Council
• Proposing a European Research Area Act to guarantee the free movement of researchers, scientific knowledge and technology
• Developing a long-term strategy to boost European Research Infrastructure and a European Innovation Act to streamline our regulatory framework and facilitate access to venture capital
• Developing ways to support EU start- and scale-ups and creating a network of Trusted Investors to bring together deep tech investors across Europe
• Preparing a new Strategy for European Life Sciences to unlock high-value technologies
• Working on an Advanced Materials Act to support the research and innovation process through to manufacturing and deployment
• Increasing the uptake of artificial intelligence by European scientists and helping to set up a European AI Research Council
• Implementing and overseeing the funding from EU research and innovation programmes, such as Horizon Europe, as well as the EU Missions

Tsvetan (Atanasov) Simeonov, aged 70, has been working at the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry for more than 40 years now, starting his professional experience as a specialist-jurist in various departments of the Chamber such as the Trade Register Directorate, Law Department etc. He was elected BCCI’s President in June 2009.

Tsvetan Simeonov was born in Bulgaria and has studied Law in Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”. He graduated in 1979 getting a M.A Degree in Law. His post graduate qualifications include International Arbitration and Commercial Law. He also specialized in Labour Law and Social Relations at the International Training Centre of the International Labour Organization, Turin.

Apart from his native Bulgarian, he speaks English and Russian fluently and basic Spanish.

Maria Hristova, Senior Executive Director, Sofia Investment Agency

Maria Hristova, PhD, has a Master's degree in Business and Human Resources Development & Administration. She specialized in Paris Nanterre University ‘Community Integration of People with Mental Disorders and Physical Disabilities”. She is developing a scientific paper on the development of the dual career model path in Bulgaria.

Maria has held the position of Commercial Director in a digital marketing agency for almost 14 years. She has been a lecturer in statistics for more than 4 years, and currently holds the position of Chief Executive Officer of the Sofia Municipal Privatization & Investment Agency, part of the general administration of Sofia Municipality.

Result-oriented specialist in the field of digital strategies, innovations in the educational system and the dialogue between business, education and administration.

She is motivated by both success and failure. Maria defines herself as a visionary, with a positive attitude towards the circumstances around her as well as a team player with a strong sense of justice.
Maria Hristova

Mila Nenova, Executive Director, Invest Bulgaria Agency

Mila Nenova has been Executive Director of InvestBulgaria Agency since October 2023. The Agency is responsible for promoting Bulgaria as an investment destination, attracting foreign investment and certifying investment projects in the country. Since February 2024 she has been a member of the Board of Directors of the Vienna Economic Forum.

She graduated from the English Language School in Plovdiv and has a master degree in Law from the Faculty of Law at Sofia University.

Her professional experience is vast. She has worked as consultant at the legal department of Deloitte & Touche Ltd for three years. For the subsequent eight years she worked in Alba, Italy, where she was Head of Human Resources and Industrial Relations at the headquarters of Miroglio AD. After her experience in Italy, she chose to return to Bulgaria where she later became Director of Confindustria Bulgaria. As Director she planned and managed all the activities of the Association: institutional representation, promoting Bulgaria and creating bilateral links and supporting new and established investors in their activities in Bulgaria.
Mila Nenova

Lyubomir Stanislavov, CEO & Board Member, Automotive Cluster Bulgaria

Arch. Lyubomir Stanislavov graduated Architecture from the University of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Geodesy - Sofia in 2001. He obtained additional qualifications at the University de Valladolid, Spain and the Technical University of Graz, Austria. In 2001 he began his professional development as a lecturer in the Department of Theory and History of Architecture, University of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Geodesy, Sofia.

As a co-owner and manager of the architectural studio Artek Studio and S Architectural Team, he works on significant projects: Infiniti Car Show, Hyundai Car Show, Mall and Serdika Sofia Center office building. Arch. Stanislavov is the author of several projects related to building a contemporary image of the National Palace of Culture. He has managed projects of national importance, such as the one for the restoration of the Synagogue in Vidin, and has won a prize for the project Remodeling of St. Sofia Hall in a plenary hall in the National Assembly building.

In parallel with the architectural work from 2004 to October 2015 arch. Stanislavov makes his personal contribution to the publishing industry by working with some of the world's largest publishing companies such as BBC Worldwide, CondeNast, Hola !, AxelSpringer, Economist.

Since November 2015, he has been the Executive Director of Automotive Cluster Bulgaria and works to promote and effectively develop the automotive industry in Bulgaria.

Veselin Todorov, Chairman, Solar Academy Bulgaria

Dr. Eng. Veselin Todorov serves as the Chairman and Founder of the Solar Academy Bulgaria Association. He is also the founder of “VVT Engineering” EOOD and is recognized as an engineer and educator.

Dr. Todorov has been an esteemed faculty member at the University of Mining and Geology, specializing in the “Electricity Supply and Electrical Equipment” department. He has actively led numerous training sessions within the realm of Renewable Energy Sources (RES) and has been a featured speaker at various events centered around green energy.

His advocacy focuses on the reform of outdated regulations to streamline the establishment of photovoltaic plants, combating unjust commercial practices within the sector, and fostering the development and education of professionals in the field of renewable energy sources.

Freerk Faber is a professional networker with more than 25 years of experience between government and companies.

He has been CEO of World Trade Center Twente since 2009. He is also a Board Member of the World Trade Center Netherlands Alliance and World Trade Centers Association, HQ New York. His gained expertise is in spatial and economic projects at the Municipalities of Hengelo, Middelburg, and Coevorden.

With his years of experience and a broad domestic and abroad network, Freerk Faber supports companies in doing business internationally. His expertise lies in international contacts, networking, and export interests. In the period before the establishment of World Trade Center Twente, he was closely involved in the concept development.

Mr. Georgakis has been with WTC Cyprus for the past 10 years and currently holds the position of Head of Operations. He is also involved with all 16 WTC Licenses (in the MENA Region, Australia and China) held by their group with Headquarters in Cyprus. Since 2023, Antony Georgakis has additionally been elected to the World Trade Centers Association European Regional Advisory Council.

Experienced Operations and Sales & Events Manager with a demonstrated history of working in international trade and development industry.

Kristina Eskenazi, Chairwoman, Artificial Intelligence Cluster Bulgaria

Kristina Eskenazi is Chairwoman of the Health & Life Sciences Cluster Bulgaria and the Artificial Intelligence Cluster Bulgaria, a member of the Managing Board of KRIB - Bulgaria’s leading employers’ federation, and a board advisor to the Medical University of Plovdiv and Ruse University "Angel Kanchev".

In May 2025, Eskenazi was elected to the Board of the Council of European BioRegions (CEBR), representing Bulgaria in a network of over 48 innovation clusters across Europe. She founded the Spinoff Bulgaria Initiative and has led numerous Horizon Europe and Digital Europe projects in AI and health innovation.

Kristina mentors and organises flagship hackathons and entrepreneurship events, including AI & I Factory, AI Girls Hackathon, and Pitch2Pitch.

She is a member of key European networks such as EuropaBio, ECHAlliance, and the European AI Forum, driving cross-sector collaboration and digital transformation.
Kristina Eskenazi

Krassen Stanchev, Founder, Institute for Market Economics

Dr. Krassen Stanchev teaches Public Choice, Macroeconomic Analysis of Politics and history of economic ideas to humanitarian post-graduates at Sofia University, and is a Distinguished Professor of Tbilisi Free University. He is also CEO of KC2 Ltd and Board Chairman, founder and former Executive Director of Institute for Market Economics (1993-2006), and MP and committee chairman at VII Constitutional Assembly of Bulgaria (1990-91).

After leaving IME, Stanchev continued to work on pro-market and tax reforms not only in Bulgaria but in the countries of the Balkans, Central Asia, the Caucasus, and Ukraine and other countries. Some of his recent, 2022-2023, assignments were to comment of UN Sustainable Development Goal No1, and to report on the History and Prospects of Flat Tax Jurisdictions for the Swedish Taxpayers Association (Skattebetalarna) and Riksdag members in Stockholm.

He is a member of the Mont Pelerin Soviety, of the Network for Constitutional Economics and Social Philosophy (NOUS), of the Wilhelm Roepke Institut in Erfurt, and Honorary Board Member of the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Patricia Moinard-Drouvot, CEO, World Trade Center Metz-Saarbrücken

As a Rotary Alumni, Patricia Moinard discovered that all cultures and intercultural understanding are key factors for international business success. After a two-year scholarship in Ontario, Canada, she went back to France and completed a Master's degree in International Trade. This opened many doors - for several years, she developed new foreign markets for regional companies and also spent five years in Senegal, where she managed a France-Senegal cooperation program and set up a local company together with local partners and investors.

Now back in France, she continues to support local players to internationalize their business and increase their innovative strength. For more than 10 years now, she has been Director of the Department of Economic Development at Inspire Metz (Metz Metropole). Patricia is also the Director of World Trade Center Metz-Saarbrücken, a unique cross-border and binational WTC, gateway to both French and German markets and to worldwide opportunities thanks to the WTCA network.

Nicholas Beaty, Manager, World Trade Center Rennes Bretagne

Nicholas Beaty is a multilingual community facilitator and an expert in International Business and Public Relations. Since 2018, he has been managing the World Trade Center (WTC) Rennes Bretagne, fostering a network of over 100 companies and institutions engaged in global trade. As Head of Business Network Development at CCI Ille-et-Vilaine, he oversees the WTC Rennes Bretagne, coordinates the Brittany Committee of Foreign Trade Advisors (CCE), and drives strategic initiatives to enhance business networks in the region. Additionally, he supports the culinary school Ferrandi Paris – Rennes Campus in recruiting international students and serves on the European Regional Advisory Council of the World Trade Centers Association.

Sharon Aguayo, Member Engagement Manager, World Trade Centers Association

Sharon Aguayo is a native New Yorker with over two decades of experience working in the global non-profit industry. She is responsible for managing the development and execution of strategic projects to engage and nurture relationships with WTCA Members.

Before joining the WTCA, she developed, managed, and implemented the global recruitment strategy for the International Trademark Association (INTA). Identified opportunities to expand in international markets by establishing, cultivating, and maintaining relationships with members, trademark associations, and national offices and was a part of the core team that launched a consumer awareness campaign in 2012.
SHARON AGUAYO

Anaïs Jan, Membership Development Lead Europe, World Trade Centers Association

Born in Paris and raised in Nantes, France, Anaïs began her career specializing in Marketing and International Business, working at various media agencies as a Global Media Coordinator in Paris for three years prior to relocating to Bogotá, Colombia. She then served as a International Business Consultant for Ronderos & Cardenas SAS for four years, two of which also taking on the role of Regional Business Development Coordinator working alongside WTCA's LatAm Regional Director to assist in supporting the WTCA network in Central and South America, and the Caribbean.

After relocating back to Europe (Madrid, Spain), she worked as an independent Business Development Consultant working closely with Fairhomes (WTC Gibraltar) and various Colombian companies on business development and strategic alliances across both Europe and Africa. She now lives in Marseille, France, and supports the WTCA network in Europe.

She holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Business from Audencia Bachelors, and a Master’s degree in Corporate Communications from SciencesCom Audencia, both located in Nantes, France; and a Master’s degree in Marketing from Institut d’Administration des Entreprises in Bordeaux, France.

She is fluent in French, English and Spanish.
Anaïs Jan

Ed Allison-Wright, Director, World Trade Center Gibraltar, London, Madrid and Malaga

Ed Allison-Wright is a Director at Fairhomes Group of Companies, the proud developer and operator of World Trade Center Gibraltar.

World Trade Center Gibraltar launched in February 2017 and was 98.5% occupied within a month, bringing significant foreign direct investment, delivering crucial incubator space for fast-growth enterprises and providing headquarters workspace for established corporate occupiers. WTC Gibraltar contributes an estimated £65,000,000 per annum to the Gibraltar economy.

Fairhomes Group of Companies is an entrepreneurial organization involved in several industries internationally, from vegetarian skincare cosmetics to real estate investment and development. As a Board Director, Mr. Allison-Wright’s focus is predominantly on the international property side of the group, with active real estate investments and developments in the USA, Germany, UK, the Netherlands, Spain and Gibraltar, where their Head Office is located. Within this remit, Mr. Allison-Wright is responsible for World Trade Center Gibraltar. He is also responsible for the group’s other two owned licenses, these being World Trade Center London and World Trade Center Madrid. As part of his role, Mr. Allison-Wright also takes responsibility for the public sector / government liaison with the group, helping to shape policy towards supporting employment generating growth and prioritizing local socio-economic benefits of major regeneration projects.

Mr. Allison-Wright is a Chartered Surveyor with specialism in Commercial Real Estate and is also a Chartered Town Planner. He has experience in attracting inward investment, encouraging localized growth and in providing a platform for start-up enterprises to thrive, through his involvement with several public-private sector partnerships. Mr. Allison-Wright continues to be heavily engaged in these initiatives, holding board positions since 2012.

Within World Trade Centers Association (WTCA), Mr. Allison-Wright was a member of the WTCA European Regional Advisory Council from its inception in October 2018 to September 2021, and now serves as its Chair. Additionally, he chaired the WTCA Real Estate Member Advisory Council since its inception in January 2018 until 2021. He has also been involved in the WTCA’s 2019 Accreditation Pilot Program and judged the inaugural WTCA Champions Awards. Mr. Allison-Wright was elected to the WTCA Board of Directors in September 2021 and sits as chair of its Executive Committee.

Mr. Allison-Wright holds a BSc (Hons) in Estate Management from the University of Reading (Berkshire, UK) and a MSc in Town Planning from the University of Brighton (East Sussex, UK). Accordingly, he is a Professional Member of both the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI). He is also the holder of a Private Pilot License.

Carles Anglada, CEO, World Trade Center Barcelona

Carles Anglada, Civil Engineer, and MBA, has been working for 35 years in General Management in several sectors: Public Administration, services, industrial and FMCG companies. Since September 2023, he has had the responsibility of managing WTC Barcelona.

He joined WTC Barcelona with three main goals:

1. Turning WTC Barcelona into the real estate manager for all the assets within the Port of Barcelona.
2. Helping the Port to reposition its commercial strategy towards a more sustainable business model by opening (to open soon) the Blue Tech Port, the major Blue Economy Hub in Europe.
3. Redefine the site after the COVID crisis, turning it into a Business Hub and opening the Port to the city and its citizens to revitalize the complex.
