Sagar Puranik is the National Leasing Head (Gateway), Welspun One, where he leads the company’s commercial and leasing strategy across its port-led, SEZ, and industrial asset portfolio.

Sagar is a seasoned business leader with nearly two decades of experience across ports, logistics, industrial infrastructure, and Special Economic Zones (SEZs). His expertise spans business development, large-scale project execution, commercial strategy, and customer engagement across some of India’s most prominent port-led and logistics ecosystems.

Over the course of his career, Sagar has led transformative initiatives in the FTWZ and industrial warehousing space. At DP World, he spearheaded business development for industrial and logistics parks and free trade zones, securing multimillion-dollar FTWZ projects, winning strategic assets, and onboarding marquee global and Indian clients. He has played a critical role in government liaison, complex contract negotiations, commercial structuring, and achieving substantial cost efficiencies across portfolios.

Previously, at Arshiya Limited, Sagar drove business development and marketing for FTWZs, introducing innovative commercial models, leading high-performing sales teams, and achieving record occupancy levels, often exceeding 100% capacity. His work included building long-term client partnerships, raising project finance, and scaling integrated logistics and infrastructure projects from concept to commissioning.

Sagar’s professional journey reflects deep specialisation in ports, SEZ policy, supply-chain infrastructure, and revenue optimisation. His ability to blend financial acumen with on-ground operational execution has consistently enabled organisations to expand footprint, strengthen client pipelines, and deliver sustainable, high-value growth.

He holds a Master of Management Studies (Finance) from Welingkar Institute of Management and is a qualified Cost Accountant from the Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India.
