ABOUT THE 2023-2024 WTCA CHAMPIONS AWARDS 

The World Trade Centers Association (WTCA) is excited to roll out a new and expanded iteration of the Biennial WTCA Champions Awards to recognize World Trade Center (WTC) businesses across our global network!


As part of its 50th Anniversary in 2019, the WTCA launched an awards program — the “Champions Awards” — to recognize excellence around the network. This is an opportunity for WTCA Members to recognize fellow Members and their impact on local and global levels.

Nominations for these awards will open October 23, 2023, and the winners of this 3rd competition will be presented at the 2024 WTCA Global Business Forum (GBF) in Bengaluru, India.

These biennial awards will be given out every two years as part of the new ongoing recognition program, and honorees will be presented at each subsequent GBF with a trophy in addition to prizes including; one (1) free registration for the winner and one (1) accompanying guest to the following WTCA GBF; a press release announcing the winners on both a local and global scale, as well as across the WTCA’s social media channels, and Member e-blasts; and additional exposure via a Q&A session on the WTCA’s YouTube channel.  

MAIN CHANGES TO THE PREVIOUS CHAMPIONS AWARDS PROGRAM

  • Now held biennially
  • Only WTCA Members (WTC locations) may be nominated (individuals may no longer be nominated)
  • All WTCA Members that meet nomination criteria may self-nominate
  • Winners may not be nominated again for 2 awards cycles (four years) in order to allow for greater Membership recognition
  • New categories, including Champion Award for Innovation and Regional Champions Award for Member of the Year
  • Additional exposure via a Q&A session for each winning WTCA Member on the WTCA’s YouTube Channel

NOMINATION PERIOD

  • Monday, October 23, 2023 through Monday, January 15, 2024 at 11:59 p.m. EST. The deadline has been extended to Sunday, January 21, 2024.

PRIZES

Nominees will be provided with support, including a press release template and media kit to use for their website and for local market media outreach, as well as templated social media posts including a branded hashtag (#WTCAChampion). 

Winners will receive recognition within the Association and externally with awards packages consisting of:

  • A physical statuette to be presented on-stage at the 2024 WTCA GBF and shipped following the 2024 WTCA GBF
  • One (1) free Member registration for the winner and one (1) accompanying guest to the following WTCA GBF
    (2025) (this registration would come in addition to any complimentary registrations included in other WTCA incentive
    programs)
  • A press release announcing the winners on both a local and global scale, as well as across the WTCA’s social media channels, and Member e-blasts
  • The WTC location will be profiled in a Q&A session on the WTCA's YouTube channel

KEY TIMELINE

  • Nominations open: October 23, 2023 - January 15, 2024. Deadline extended to Sunday, January 21, 2024.
  • Nominees announcement: Will be distributed late-January 2024
  • Winner selections: Mid-February 2024 by judging panel
  • Presentation of Champions Award winners: 2024 WTCA GBF (March 3-6, 2024) in Bengaluru, India
  • Additional press outreach: Immediately following the GBF once winners are awarded
