Dr Praveen Malik is a Veterinary Microbiologist presently employed with Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) as Principal Scientist, with additional Charge of Chief Executive Officer, Agrinnovate India Limited, a Government of India enterprise involved in licensing agricultural technologies generated by ICAR to industry. He has more than 30 years of experience in research in animal (including wildlife) health and research management. He had previously worked as Animal Husbandry Commissioner, GOI (2019-2022), Director, CCS National Institute of Animal Health, Department of Animal Husbandry and Dairying, GOI (2015-2022) and In-charge National Centre for Veterinary Type Culture (2010-2015). He is a qualified laboratory assessor/auditor for ISO17025 accreditation and trained for Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory Quality Assurance by USDA. He is recipient of fellowships and awards of several national associations including National
Academy of Veterinary Science (India). He has also worked as Expert for various national and international organizations viz. DAHD, WOAH (OIE), FAO, WHO etc.
