• e-Visa for India is available for most nationalities​.
• Indian e-Visas are required for visiting the country for the purposes of tourism, business, conferences, and medical treatment. The terms of each of these types of e-Visas vary. ​
• A Conference Visa can be granted to a foreigner whose sole objective of visiting India is to attend a conference / seminar or workshop being held in India.​
• Indian Missions are authorized to issue conference visas to delegates on production of an invitation to a conference/seminar/workshop.​
  • Such a visa can be for conferences combined with tourism (at the discretion of issuing missions) and validity shall not exceed 6 months​.
