Martín Gustavo Ibarra is a Founding member of the World Free Zones Organization (WFZO), based in Dubai, where he served as Vice President. He also is founding member and first President of the Latin American Free Zones Association (AZFA). As Managing Partner at Araújo Ibarra, a firm that has participated in the approval of more than 70 free zones, Mr. Ibarra has specialized in free zones and special economic zones in the world for four decades.

Araújo Ibarra participated in the World Bank mission that advised China on the creation of Special Economic Zones in 1983 and has advised several countries in Asia, Africa, and Latin America on modernizing free zone legislation. The organization currently partners with WTCA in the development of World Trade Center licensed Free Trade Zones, transforming free zones into globally competitive business hubs.
