Cristina Sbaizero is the CEO of the World Trade Center Trieste, with over 20 years of experience in international business development, corporate strategy, change management, public-private partnerships, and global event organization within the WTCA network.
Appointed by the WTCA Board of Directors as the liaison with UNIDO (United Nations Industrial Development Organization) in Vienna, she began her career there in 1997 with the Cleaner Production Centres Program.
Ms. Sbaizero represents internationally the World Trade Center Trieste, a division of SAMER Group, having attended almost all the WTCA meetings, promoting constantly networking and new business opportunities for the benefit of the WTCA Members. Her main professional skills are focused on innovative start-up companies, disruptive innovative solutions and business models. She is an expert in financial supporting instruments to SMEs at European, national, and local levels
Fluent in English, German, and Italian, Ms. Sbaizero has organized trade missions and workshops to support business development over the years in the following countries: USA, UAE, Japan, China, Canada, Tunisia, Algeria, France, Brazil, Argentina, Mexico, Bulgaria, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, Austria, Slovenia, Croatia, Spain, Portugal, Sweden, Finland, and the Philippines.
A Chartered Public Accountant since 2007 and a Legal Auditor since 2009 (registered with the Italian Ministry of Finance), she serves on various Boards of Statutory Auditors for both private and public companies across multiple sectors, including logistics, financial services, food tech, business associations, education, SME support services, arts, entertainment, and non-profit organizations.
Beyond her professional commitments, Ms. Sbaizero actively volunteers on professional boards and organizations, including the Trieste Rotary Club, the Trieste Circle of Culture and Arts, and the Milan Committee for the Internationalization of the Association of Chartered Public Accountants.
Cristina Sbaizero is also the Honorary Consul of Sweden in Trieste.
